Put Your Trust in the Ancient of Days

As we see the evil abounding in the world and wonder at what will happen next, God is still in control. No matter what 'smoke and mirrors' your enemy uses to distract you, remember, it is temporary and subject to change. This too shall pass. The God of all heaven and earth is still keeping this world together. Whether we see Him on earth in our lifetime is up to Him. Whether we live or die is up to Him. But you can trust Him, no matter your circumstances.
The Word of God is our strength, our peace, our anchor during this lifetime. God made sure of it. He used the prophet Daniel, born to noble Judean families, to give us a glimpse of what is to come. Daniel was named as having "no blemish, well favored, skillful in all wisdom, knowledge, and understanding of science" (Daniel 1:4). His life was marked by consistent faith, prayer, and courage. He did not compromise. Even Jesus attributed a quote from the book of Daniel 9:27 to "Daniel the prophet" in the book of Matthew, chapter 24, verse 15, as He described The Tribulation period to his disciples:
"When ye therefore shall see the ABOMINATION OF DESOLATION, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (Whoso readeth, let him understand:)"
Matthew 24:15 KJV
It is impossible to confidently understand and put your trust in the Word of God unless you are a believer and follower of Jesus Christ and His Word. The two words BELIEVER and FOLLOWER are synonymous. You can't have one without the other. Your faith must produce not only words but action, and follow. When you know this, you have faith that is anchored to the Word of God in Hope for your future and the future of those you lead. This is our Hope as described by the prophet Daniel:
"I beheld till the thrones were cast down, and the ANCIENT OF DAYS did sit, whose garment was white as snow, and the hair of his head like the pure wool: his throne was like the fiery flame, and his wheels as burning fire. A fiery stream issued and came forth from before him: thousand thousands ministered unto him, and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him, the judgment was set, and the books were opened. I beheld then because of the voice of the great words which the horn spake: I beheld even till the beast was slain, and his body destroyed, and given to the burning flame. As concerning the rest of the beasts, they had their dominion taken away: yet their lives were prolonged for a season and time. I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him. And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve him:
his dominion is an everlasting dominion,
which SHALL NOT PASS AWAY,
and HIS KINGDOM THAT WHICH SHALL NOT BE DESTROYED."
Daniel 7:9-14 KJV
Remember, the dragon and his beasts will be destroyed by the Ancient of Days. Beware of trying to "train this dragon" or glorifying him as good and harmless. Dragons are neither trainable nor good and harmless. Yet, the dragon as spoken of throughout the Word of God is referred to as satan himself:
"And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him."
Revelation 12:9 KJV (Look this up in other bible versions)
God spoke to the children of Israel in His Wrath because of their disobedience through the Song of Moses just before he died:
"Their wine is the poison of dragons, and the cruel venom of asps (snakes or serpents)."
Deuteronomy 32:32 KJV (Look this up in other bible versions)
This is the description of all evil, and the dragon has been GIVEN power to destroy for a time. Allow yourself a moment to gravely consider who gives the dragon power for a time.
Keep your eyes on the Ancient of Days who has power and authority over everything, and His Word. Serve Him alone with all your heart, all your mind, and all your soul, and all will be well.
On a journey of Healing and Hope with you,
