Terri’s book is a story of Gods redemption and the unfolding of that desperate need for belonging that we all have. She walks the reader through the painful lessons of self reliance as we try to do life in our own way. Our hurts become deep wounds that unless Jesus heals we perpetuate those pains to ourselves and others. If you find yourself in the cycle of broken relationships, Terri’s book with scriptures, will encourage you that you’re never too far beyond His reach.

The story is raw and honest with redemptive value as the author shares her personal journey. Through brokenness and pain she allows a relationship with God to bring restoration to the most vulnerable places of her heart. It's hard to put down once you start reading. The life-giving words are inspiring and challenge women to put God first and foremost so they can be healthy and whole in whatever stage of life they're in.

This book was so profound and compelling.  When I started reading it I could not put it down. I was completely immersed in the story and the scriptures that have such powerful meaning throughout the book. I believe this book will be a blessing for anyone who is going through or knows someone going through adversities in life. Terri Corbett is a true testament that with God and Jesus you can make it through life's adversities!

Been through divorce? Have you felt shame and regret from past choices that seem to keep you in a place of guilt and fear? This book takes you on a journey with a woman who seems to have gone through it all, more than once! You will find yourself laughing one minute, crying the next. It’s a Lifetime movie ready for the making! And yes, there is a happy ending! This book has blessed me immensely. Such an easy read! Terri’s humor, heart and humility throughout the pages of this book made it hard to put down. Her transparency made me feel like I was having a nice, long coffee talk with my new best friend. I recommend this book to anyone in need of healing and encouragement. I felt like I was right there with her as she explains the lessons and joys of working through the hurts of a wounded heart. The good news is there is hope and through the grace of God you can overcome your past and all things can become new and yes you can be completely healed from the inside out!

I gravitate towards devotionals that line up the realities of life with the truths and promises of God’s word, all in the attainable quest of intimacy with God. One such devotional is this work by Terri Corbett, Declaring Your Soul to Believe and Your Enemy to Leave! Not only does each daily devotion address practical life matters with Biblical truth to help one live a victorious life in Christ. Above all, it helps one be open and honest with oneself and with God, which leads to a trusting, secure, loving and intimate relationship with God. The relational process is aided by adherence to four truths, or “steppingstones,” including realizing one’s worth in light of God’s love; being honest about the dangers and pitfalls of life; developing a daily plan to stay on track and growing with God; and, ultimately, finding true hope and peace with God, embracing gratitude over hopelessness.

At a very low point in my life when I wasn’t doing much talking to God or Jesus, just a lot of self-medicating, I had exhausted my own self will to continue. These daily proverbs gave me something tangible and reconnected me to God and Jesus, and gave me the strength to keep fighting for the life I know I deserve. Just as a daily bread, I can get a little something most days from them, and that’s enough. I was able to completely stop drinking and focus on my path with God and Jesus. I would definitely recommend!!
